Difficult People

Reiki is a Tibetan/Japanese form of
therapeutic touch that assists in the healing of stress, insomnia, digestive problems, pain, and other physical symptoms. It also addresses the mind and the emotions, treating not only the symptoms but the root of dis-ease.
Reiki means universal life force, the essential energy of the universe. The central concept of Reiki is the communication of the awakening of our own natural healing power.
The word itself is made up of the Japanese words REI – meaning Universal or spiritually guided, and KI – the energy of life, that flows through all living things – the fundamental energy responsible for the body’s health and vitality.
How does Reiki promote healing?
Reiki balances our energy centers and increases the flow of Chi, helping diseased organs return to their normal function and boosting the immune system.
I believe many dis-eases can be attributed to mental imbalances and stress.
On the physical level, Reiki and Shiatsu are very effective in conditions where stress is an underlying factor. By relieving stress on deeper levels, they help to encourage the elimination of toxins, accelerate healing, relieve acute or chronic pain, reactivate circulation, stimulate the lymphatic and endocrine systems, revive the immune system, and regenerate tissues.
On the level of the mind and emotions, Reiki liberates and brings to consciousness somatic emotions and increases the will and courage to resolve blocked and painful situations.
There is this characteristic heat of Reiki that can be felt as far as 5 inches away.
When a Reiki practitioner has received proper attunements by a Reiki Master, this vital energy force (Chi or Ki) is able to travel very strongly through the practitioner’s hand chakras and fingertips onto the recipient, helping the body accelerate its natural healing capacity.
Through Reiki, the practitioner becomes a clear channel for this life force to flow onto the client's energy fields, freeing up blockages and regulating the body’s system.
Reiki is not a religion, although it is spiritual in nature. It can be done in person or long-distance, through distant healing.
Reiki has been recognized by the World Health Organization and is now becoming widely used by nurses and practitioners in hospitals and clinics to help speed up the healing properties of the body and to help in the treatment of all kinds of physical, emotional and psychological disorders.
About my treatments
I am a certified coach, interfaith minister, Shiatsu Practitioner, and Reiki Master and Teacher. I am not a physician; therefore I do not diagnose or prescribe treatment. During my sessions, I assess a client’s overall energy level, provide physical release through Reiki (if you are coming for bodywork), and provide suggestions on the level of the mind, spirit and emotions if you are coming for coaching. Reiki assists in the healing of the physical body and in raising people’s general energy level. My clients also find that changes in their behavioral patterns, mental and emotional states often help resolve physical problems.
Disorders of the physical body, depression, lack of energy or direction in life and reoccurring difficult life events such as accidents usually indicate an imbalance in a person’s physical, mental, and spiritual aspects. If the use of regular physical remedies or therapies has not successfully returned the physical body to a state of comfort, health and wellness, it is recommended that you begin to look at what can be changed in your life and/or relationships. Over time, you may find that you can heal the source of your condition, and it will no longer be necessary for your physical body to malfunction.
Often a disease or discomfort is a message for people to change the way they relate to others, change behaviors or patterns, change emotions or belief systems, forgive, change careers, etc. Understanding the metaphysical nature of different organs and what they express or represent, according to many traditions of healing, can assist in our work to interpret the “messages” relayed by our specific health challenges.
Following each session, you may receive recommendations that will assist you in your healing path. I look forward to continuing this journey with you!!
